Volunteer at the London Youth Games!
The Balfour Beatty London Youth Games (londonyouthgames.org/volunteer) are the UK's largest annual multi-sport event taking place in May, June and July at various sporting venues across London. Last year, in 2009, 47,000 young athletes got involved in all 33 Boroughs across 30 sports. In order for the Games to happen, we need students to volunteer on a one-off basis, at a number of these different events over the summer in various roles. These include, event management and stewarding, officiating in certain sports (training and qualification provided), and in the media - taking photographs, filming and even VIP hosting! There are lots of roles to choose from and the commitment is very flexible.
If you are considering applying to volunteer at London 2012, this is great event experience!
